Some Things Can't Be Replaced.

BosonHub offers hands-on, personal data recovery for individuals and small businesses in the Mid-Willamette Valley. You drop off your device in Albany. Stephen works your case personally — one job at a time. You get a straight answer about what's possible, a clear approval before any additional work begins, and a simple promise: if basic recovery (Tier 1) doesn't recover your data, you don't pay a cent. We handle the most common data loss scenarios — laptops that won't boot, drives that aren't recognized, accidental deletion, and hardware being retired or recycled. If your situation requires a clean room or major hardware reconstruction, we'll tell you that upfront and refer you to a specialist at no charge.

What We Can Recover
Drive Won't Boot or Files Are Missing
The most common scenario — your laptop won't start, a drive isn't recognized, or files were accidentally deleted. We remove the drive, connect it to our recovery system, and extract your data to an external drive or cloud storage. Simple, personal, and straightforward.
Starting at $350Corrupted Drive or Bad Sectors
When a drive has bad sectors, a corrupted file system, or a partial failure that prevents normal access, we use professional tools including DDRescue and PhotoRec to image the drive and recover as much data as possible. Your approval is required before we proceed to this level.
$650–$750 · Requires approvalAdvanced Firmware & Component Recovery
For drives with firmware-level issues or PCB problems that prevent any access at all, we go deeper into diagnostics and component-level work. This tier covers what most local shops can't handle — short of clean room intervention.
$950–$1,100 · Requires approvalPriceless Memories & Personal Archives
Photos, home videos, family documents — the things that can't be recreated. We've recovered thousands of irreplaceable memories from drives that seemed completely lost. If this is what you're trying to save, tell us. It changes how carefully we work.
Starting at $350 · Handled with careBusiness Data & Documents
Accounting files, client records, project archives, email databases — business data loss can be devastating. We treat business recoveries with the same urgency and confidentiality as personal ones. Your data stays private and is deleted from our systems after delivery.
Starting at $350Retiring Hardware Safely
Recycling an old computer? We remove the hard drive, perform a final data extraction if you want it, and advise you on secure disposal — whether that's physical destruction or keeping the drive yourself. We do not retain, copy, or resell any data. Ever.

Data Recovery FAQs
Q: What types of drives do you work with?
A: We work with standard laptop and desktop hard drives (HDD), solid state drives (SSD), USB flash drives, and SD cards. We do not currently handle RAID arrays or enterprise storage systems.
Q: How long does recovery take?
A: A Tier 1 basic recovery typically takes 1–3 business days. Deep recovery (Tier 2) can take 3–7 business days depending on drive condition and the amount of data involved. We give you a realistic timeline before you commit.
Q: My drive is making a clicking noise. Can you help?
A: Clicking usually indicates mechanical head failure, which requires clean room work. This is outside our scope. We’ll assess it at no charge and refer you to a reputable specialist if that’s what’s needed.
Q: What happens to my data after recovery?
A: Your data is delivered to you and then deleted from our systems. We do not retain, copy, or share your files. Ever.
Q: Can you help me recycle an old computer safely?
A: Yes. We remove the hard drive, offer a final data extraction if you want it, and advise you on how to physically destroy or securely store the drive before recycling the rest of the hardware. Most recycling centers do not handle data security — we do.
Q: What if you can't recover my data?
For Tier 1 basic recovery, if we don’t get your data back, there is no charge — period. For Tiers 2 and 3, a small assessment fee ($75 or $150 respectively) covers the time invested in the attempt and is credited in full toward your recovery if we succeed. If we exhaust all tools and cannot retrieve your files, we’ll give you an honest assessment of whether clean room work is worth pursuing and refer you to a reputable specialist.
