BosonHub has provided virtual event production and hosting for multiple departments across Oregon State University, including OSU Extension Service, Oregon 4-H, Sea Grant, and the OSU Juntos program.
During the height of COVID-19, we hosted the multi-day OSU Extension Annual Conference, the Sea Grant State of the Coast event, and the OSU Hemp Research Workshop, using a flexible platform built on the same technical framework we developed for the Scientific Vendor Group. These experiences helped shape a highly reliable, user-friendly system for managing streaming, translation, and post-event engagement.
Our Work
We built branded event pages, managed session navigation, embedded livestreams (via Zoom, Vimeo, or our in-house streaming platform), and created systems for:
- Multilingual support, including Spanish-English delivery for OSU Juntos
- Live and pre-recorded video hosting
- Interactive Q&A, surveys, and post-event follow-up
- Downloadable content libraries and attendance reports
While BosonHub has supported a variety of one-time virtual events, we’re especially proud to have been invited back for multiple years of the OSU Extension Annual Conference and the Sea Grant State of the Coast event — a testament to the trust and satisfaction of those teams. We’ve also supported additional programs such as the Southern Oregon University Juntos Conference and a career exploration event</strong> for youth in Morrow County.
Results
Our flexible event platform enabled OSU teams to respond quickly during the pandemic, while still delivering polished and accessible virtual experiences. Feedback highlighted the ease of use, quality of the streaming experience, and our team’s ability to adapt to any preferred platform — whether Zoom, or our in-house solution.
These solutions have continued to prove valuable in a post-COVID world, where hybrid access, recording archives, and accessibility remain critical. The trust we’ve earned has led to continued collaborations and seasonal event support.
Ongoing Work
While some of the original virtual event infrastructure we built has since been migrated to other university servers or reprogrammed in different environments as needed, BosonHub continues to host select legacy event data and resources. We still produce a small number of virtual or hybrid events each year using our trusted, battle-tested platform — often for repeat clients or new partners referred by previous collaborators.
