The Bad Ideas Garage – Albany, Oregon
The Bad Ideas Garage began as a creative platform to refine our social media strategy through real-world experimentation. What started as a YouTube channel quickly expanded to Instagram and, later, Facebook — building a humorous and engaging presence focused on car culture, satire, and DIY projects. Designed intentionally as an influencer-style brand, the channel has seen steady growth, secured several niche sponsorships, and now generates a modest but consistent stream of income.

As the audience expanded, we built a dedicated website to centralize projects and video content while continuing to prioritize growth across social media platforms.

Our Work

BosonHub designed a custom WordPress website that reflects the brand’s playful tone while offering structure for returning fans and curious sponsors. The site includes:

  • Project car features (including the semi-viral MazdaRu build)
  • Embedded longform episodes and YouTube Shorts
  • Social integration with Instagram and Facebook
  • Blog-style updates, merch announcements, and sponsor callouts

The site was optimized for SEO and content indexing to improve discoverability for project names, technical content, and community-based car humor.

Results

The Bad Ideas Garage now has a branded, centralized hub to organize content, attract collaborators, and host recurring projects. It gives fans a place to dig deeper, explore the builds, and share inside jokes — all while maintaining a consistent visual identity across platforms.

Ongoing Work

BosonHub continues to support The Bad Ideas Garage with site maintenance, hosting, and occasional technical support as new features are introduced. We’ve also explored integration ideas for affiliate tracking, media kits, and timeline-based video indexing.
